The song is a re-arrangement and re-recording of the song Muchacho that I released on the "Where I'm From" album in 2022. The new version is dedicated to the memory of Jano, a dear friend who passed away some months ago.
lyrics
Hey Muchacho! Qué Pasa?
Do you ever miss that long and lonely land?
For how long you’ve been with us in this land?
For years, you’ve been singin’ and dancing,
And playing your guitar
Hey Muchacho! Qué Pasa? Qué tal?
You came here for freedom
After years in the cell
And all around, another life’s being lived
And the one knows nothing of the other
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you such a short time
Hey Amigo, can I be your friend?
I want to sing and dance like you
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you such a short time
Hey Amigo, can I be your friend?
At 50 years old I know so little of your life
You suffered under that man’s men
The rebel inspired your song
Now your body won’t dance no more
I wish I could make it dance,
Dance again one more time, yeah
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you such a short time
Hey Amigo, can I be your friend?
I want to sing and dance like you
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you a short time
Hey Amigo can I be your Friend
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you such a short time
Hey Amigo, can I be your friend?
I want to sing and dance like you
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you such a short time
I want to sing and dance like you
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you such a short time
Hey Amigo, can I be your friend?
I want to sing and dance like you
Hey Muchacho, can I say Amigo?
I’ve only known you a short time
Hey Amigo can I be your Friend

I played music as a teenager but then life took over - and suddenly years have gone by, and where am I? I’ve done ok for
myself. But there was something always missing. For nearly 20 years I had stopped playing music.
Then about six years ago I made a decision to start playing again.
Big, brawny, hooky songs with 20-ton riffs and choruses as sweet as candy make this one of the month’s strongest rock albums. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 12, 2020
